Dr. Toyin Opesanmi is a Family Practitioner who treats HIV and addictions. She is popularly known as Dr. O. She is Founder and Medical Director of nonprofit 501 (c)(3) Global Vision Foundation, and Founder/CEO of Gennesaret Medical Center in Maryland, USA.
At the Nigerian American Public Affairs Committee (NAPAC), Dr. O is Chairperson of NAPAC-DMVPD, Chairperson NAPAC Health, and region 2 Regional Director.
She is Chair of the Board at Nigerian Center in DC, Board member/ Treasurer Baltimore City Medical Society.
Her training, and wealth of knowledge uniquely positions her to treat all disease entities, teaching and mentoring medical students, foreign trained Physicians, Nurse Practitioner students, and Physician Assistant students.
She works hard at bridging health disparities through Health Fairs in underserved communities in the US, and Medical Missions to Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya, which has earned her various awards including a letter of commendation from the Governor of Maryland for “the wonderful work she is doing in building the essence of good health in our communities.”
NAPAC-DMVPD under her leadership are instrumental in electing Nigerian Americans into political offices in Maryland and Pennsylvania.
